bioLeeds is a group of people interested in art, design and making with biology in Leeds city region.

Lorna Dougan

Dr. Lorna Dougan is a biophysicist specialising in protein structure and functionality, particulary in relation to extremophiles. Lorna heads up the Dougan Group, utilising single-molecule force spectroscopy to invesitgate biological cryopreservation, life in extreme environments, Synthetic Biology and biomolecular self-assembly. Her group are also part of the Astbury Centre, at the University of Leeds.
